The install CD was the standard one from the project's page itself. Mh... Same on my Blog with my only post about Firefox. Did I get this right, you've installed Ubuntu on your HDD and it still wanted to install stuff from CD? 'cause it should be using the repositories, unless told otherwise, if I'm not mistaken. Are you using a modified Version? Like the one that came with c't some time ago? Did I get this right, you’ve installed Ubuntu on your HDD and it still wanted to install stuff from CD? ’cause it should be using the repositories, unless told otherwise, if I’m not mistaken. Are you using a modified Version? Like the one that came with c’t some time ago?

Ubuntu is a very good choice, though… been using it for nearly two years now and I’d never go back to Windows if I wouldn’t have to for work.
